There seems little need to think of ideas when it comes to a bachelorette party. The wedding is close at hand and discussions about the dress, the honeymoon and the ‘lucky’ groom will be all the rage. But that doesn’t mean you can’t invent something special for the event. Here are some ideas to consider when planning your bachelorette party.

Have a theme. It could be to do with the weather or current season. It could be Halloween or Christmas or the beach if you are in summer. Have your guests wear something related to your theme. It could be a princess theme where everyone gets to wear a tiara or crown. The bride to be of course will be the only one with a veil.

Have some games or entertainment related to your theme. A little thought beforehand will make your party seem even more special. Everything depends on your guest of honor. If she would prefer a quiet dinner with a few friends, then booking a club with a male revue and loud music would be quite inappropriate. But some enjoy a loud and lively party. Go with the wishes of the bride to be.

If you are in your own space, as opposed to sharing with other folk who are not part of your party, you could consider decorating the venue. The usual balloons and streamers give a party atmosphere but is there something special you could use? If you have chosen a theme then your decorations could match your theme. Some fun photos of the bride as a young girl and young woman in a classy display will always generate fun and chat. Remember she is the star of the show.

There is though a general rule that no embarrassing photos of the bride are taken on the night especially if she is over-indulging in her celebrations.

You could consider a standard costume for the party with say all the guests in black or red and the bride in white. Then have the entertainment to match so that the bride is always given an advantage or has first turn or whatever.

You can create your own games or there are companies which sell or hire equipment for bachelorette party games. Some of the best games are self-made and cheap. For example the guests are blindfolded and have to pin a mustache on a picture of a male model.

A little thought can turn a fun night into a really memorable celebration.
