Okay, so as with every major party out there you need to put together a guest list, old friends, new friends, work colleagues, people your boy knows galore. Now, you need to plan not one… but two kinds of Bachelor parties, one that’s a little dull and one that blows everyone’s minds! For the first party you’ll have the typical slow moving atmosphere with your friend’s Fiancée’s father in-law telling you to treat his daughter right or he’ll kill him.

After the "first" party and all the family members have gone home, the fun really begins as you, the groom and the rest of your friends start parting like it’s 1999. Get drinks, dance around, go crazy, and I know what you’re all thinking! The stripper! It’s your decision as the best man and you’re decision alone on if you want to take that step, but be prepared to deal with the repercussions if the bride finds out about it, unless she’s actually cool too.

Be sure that beforehand you know exactly how the party needs to happen, once you’ve paid your dues and have the date and location set, it’s time to pull out the vodka. Typical locations for these parties would be in places like Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, all the great party stops. But then again you’ve got other places like Montreal, Chicago, Toronto, and even Scottsdale with locations that are often over looked and depending on how your boy lives his life, they’ll probably have something that floats his boat more.

As the best man it’s your job to decide on what activities are planned, confirming those said activities and showing up at specific locations preferably on time. If you did not confirm certain destinations, good luck getting in. It’ll take some mad convincing on your part for anyone to let the groom and your drunken friends in to any destinations you had thought you set up.

As the best man it’s your duty to create the foundation of your friend’s wedding experience. Just remembering the ring and making a speech is but a small part in the event of your boy’s wedding day. You need to be sure that everything you plan out is well-thought out and properly handled, be it a party or something else in between. If you don’t screw up the stuff before the wedding, you won’t screw up the wedding itself, but if you do, you’re friend might be looking for another best man.
